The Ramblings of a Racer

Dear Hannah thanks for the email it was really sweet and meant a lot to me. Since you asked I wrote another poem to put up. My sister is pregnant and I wrote this for her baby, wether it be Jadelyn or Ethan, I love it already:):

If life was a canvas,
I'd paint you the ocean,
Boundless and beautiful,
Like I hope you're life will be.

If life was a chalkboard,
I'd draw you an open field,
A place for dreams to grow and joys to come,
Like I hope yours do.

If life was a block of clay,
I'd make you into a  gorgeous flowy vase,
I'd shape you strong and you'd be filled with joy,
Like I hope your heart is.

If life was a quilt,
I'd sew you bright and intricate,
A bright mind and the ability to love the little things,
Like I'm sure you will have.

If life was a story,
I'd write you the hero,
Confident and fearless,
Like I am sure you will be.

If life was a part of me,
I'd place you in my heart,
Love and compassion towards you,
Like I know you will get from me.

As I said I love to write and I thought I'd share a poem:

Glass

Sometimes I think I have a soul made of glass,

Somedays it's thick,

The outside may be rough but it is strong,

It's hard and deals well with wear,

A few damages won't damage it,

Even so glass can function with a little chip off the top.

The soul is beautiful this way.

Sometimes I think I have a soul made of glass,

Somedays it's thin,

Beautiful to see but delicate to touch,

It does not take much to break a thin glass,

You must be careful with it for it ruins easy,

One crack will lead to more and more.

The soul is gorgeous this way.

Sometimes I think I have a soul made of glass,

Somedays it's shatterd,

Little light pieces of hope seperated by darkness,

It is already broken,

Be careful for its edges are razor sharp,

It's already broken into pieces.

The soul is stunning this way.

Sometimes I think I have a soul made of glass,

Somedays it's just pieced together,

It may be whole chipped or shattered but it's gorgeous,

Held up by other things,

Or holding other things even though it's broken,

It just needs someone to put the pieces back together and overlook the flaws.

The soul amazes me this way.
